Israel Announces ‘Powerful Airstrikes’ in Response to Iran’s Missile strike: Report

According to a report by the New York Post, Israel has announced plans for “powerful airstrikes” across the Middle East in response to Iran’s launch of hundreds of ballistic missiles targeting the Jewish state on Tuesday evening.

The Post reports that Israel’s retaliatory strikes are set to begin Tuesday night after nearly 200 ballistic missiles were fired at Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv, causing widespread damage from shrapnel and warheads.

Iran’s attack came in response to Israel’s ground invasion of Hezbollah-controlled areas in Lebanon, which began on Monday.

In a statement, Iran warned of further action:

“If the Zionist regime responds to our attack, our next attacks will be more devastating.”

This is a developing story.
