Gunshots fired near President Trump outside his West Palm Beach golf club

The Secret Service responded to a shooting near former President Donald Trump as he departed his International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday. Trump, who had been golfing during the incident, was unharmed. Officials confirmed that the gunfire was unrelated to the former president.

“President Trump is safe following gunshots near his location. There are no additional details at this time,” said Trump spokesman Steven Cheung on Sunday.

Reports indicate that the incident involved two individuals exchanging gunfire outside the golf course. According to the New York Post, the shots were not directed at Trump but were a result of a conflict between the two parties involved.

The golf club is located about five miles from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence. While the area around the course is known for higher crime rates, the situation did not extend beyond the exchange between the individuals.

This is a developing story. Stay tuned for further updates.
