BREAKING UPDATE: Gunshots Fired at West Palm Golf Course Were Intended For Trump 2nd ‘Assassination Attempt’

The Secret Service responded to a shooting near former President Donald Trump at his International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday. Trump, who was on the course at the time, was unharmed.

According to a source cited by The New York Post, “Secret Service agents spotted a suspicious individual on the Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach and opened fire after observing what appeared to be the barrel of a gun.”

Trump spokesman Steven Cheung confirmed the incident, stating, “President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity. No further details are available at this time.”

The New York Post initially reported that the gunfire involved two individuals in a dispute outside the golf course and was not directed at the former president. However, the outlet later updated its account, stating that Secret Service agents had fired at a suspicious person who seemed to be armed.

It remains unclear whether the individual was on the golf course or nearby, according to The Post.

Anthony Guglielmi, Chief of Communications for the Secret Service, commented on the situation, saying, “The Secret Service, working with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, is investigating a protective incident involving former President Donald Trump that occurred shortly before 2 p.m. The former president is safe.”

The golf club is located about five miles from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence. This event comes two months after Trump survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he sustained an injury to his ear.
